Vicki Lynn Paul, 61, of Eustis, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024. Born in Columbus, Ohio, to Alice (Armstrong) McGlinsey and the late Edward Scott McGlinsley, she moved to Eustis in 2003 from Alabama. She was a Managing Director for Striking Effects Promotions and was a member of the American Legion Post #35 in Mount Dora where she was the Adjutant. Vicki served in the United States Navy from 1980-1994 as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate Aircraft Handler Chief Petty Officer, with Airware designation - ABHC(AW). Her job consisted of handling aircraft fires. Notably, she was also the first female instructor in the Navy for her designation ABH. She taught A and C school which involved firefighting techniques/movement of aircraft on both Navy ships and on Naval bases. Vicki served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield earning many medals including the Navy Achievement, Good Conduct Award, Overseas Service, National Defense Service, and the Navy Meritorious. She was the youngest of eight children all of whom served in the United States Navy. She was deeply loved by all and was a bright light in the community. Vicki is survived by her daughter, April Lynn (David) Keigans of Eustis, FL; mother, Alice Ethel McGlinsey of Eustis, FL; 3 brothers, Bud McGlinsey of Elkhart, IN, Hal McGlinsey of Swayzee, IN and Dennis McGlinsey of Bradenton, FL; 3 sisters, Lynn Weathers of Justin, TX, Patty Shutt of Eustis, FL and Nancy Muenzmay of Grand Island, FL as well as her 2 grandchildren, Wyatt and Emma. Military graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM. There will be a Celebration Gathering for family & friends at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon.
