Shirley I. Nickerson, 88, of Lady Lake, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025. Born in Newton, Georgia, she moved to Lake County in 1953 from Newton, Georgia. She retired from Sprint as a Service Alarm Administration Associate. Shirley was a member of Life Church Assembly of God, Fruitland Park as well as the Women's Club of Leesburg. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Keith D. Nickerson, Lady Lake, FL; 3 daughters, Carrie W. Wynkoop, Longwood, FL, Melanie W. Caruthers, Lady Lake, FL, Linda J. Green, Fruitland Park, FL; 3 step-children; sister, Wilma Collins, Newton, GA; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Everly Joy Herrell. Memorial services will be held at Life Church Assembly of God, Fruitland Park on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Grand Island Cemetery, Grand Island. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10:30 - 11:00 AM.
