Robert Alden Hollenbeck, owner of Hollenbeck's TV Sales & Service located in Mount Dora, Florida, and a devoted family man, passed away on July 27, 2025, in Tavares, Florida. He was born on December 18, 1923, in Burton, Ohio. A proud World War II veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, Robert demonstrated remarkable patriotism, courage, and commitment during his service. As a founding member of the Lake County Amateur Radio Association, his passion for technology and communication was evident. Robert remained a lifelong HAM radio operator, harnessing the magic of the airwaves to connect and engage with others and provide needed communication services during times of emergency. In the eyes of his loved ones, Robert held the cherished title of "Best Horse Show Dad on Planet Earth". His unwavering support for his daughter, along with countless memories shared amidst the excitement of horse shows, exemplified the love and dedication he poured into fatherhood. He is survived by his daughter, Robbie Hollenbeck of Eustis, FL, and son-in-law Ray DeFrances, also of Eustis, FL, who hold fond memories of him close to their hearts. Robert's family circle has been forever altered by the passing of his devoted wife of 71 years, Carolyn Hollenbeck, who stood by his side through laughter and tribulations alike. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Hollenbeck and Arleen Hollenbeck Waters. As we bid farewell to Robert Alden Hollenbeck, we remember a life richly lived—a life filled with adventure, love, and an enduring spirit that touched all who were privileged to know him.
