Robert Gary Davis Sr.

Robert Gary Davis Sr., age 79 of Debary, Florida died Tuesday, September 19, 2023. He was born in Orlando, Florida on October 21, 1943. He is the son and only child of the late Alton and Dixie (Midgette) Davis. On March 12, 1976, he married Barbara Barrette Kaufman at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband, father, and stepfather. He graduated from Oakridge High School in 1962. He worked for Cushman Electronics, Co., Mandrele Industries - Texas, Florida Forestry, Orlando Utilities Commission and Meritta Bread - Florida. He has been retired since 1974 due to bad health. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, dancing, movies, wood crafting and time spent with family. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 47 years. Two children, Robert G. Davis, Jr. - California and Mark Allen Davis - California. Five stepchildren, Carole Halasz - Debary, Susan Kaufman - Sorrento, Mary Kaufman - Orange City, Jenny Kaufman - Deltona and Chad Wilkerson - Orange City. Eight step grandchildren, David Bermudez (Micah), Matthew Halasz (Jossie), Allan Surrarrer (Dawn), Christopher Kaufman (Courtney), Shelley Faustich (James), Jessica Chagnon (Chris), Sarah Chagnon, Amber Kaufman (Kyle). Nine step great grandchildren, Cole Faustich, Skyler Sharp, Karson Sharp, Owen Faustich, Veronica Halasz, Lily Sharp, Ensley Chagnon, Kali Snow and Memphis Reed Halasz. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Trail, Debary, Florida at 10:30 am. Rev. James Tharakan Officiating.
