He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and Served during Vietnam. He was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his Mother, Patricia J. Arneke of Mount Dora, FL; Son, Robert Craig Smith Jr.; Daughters, Patricia Smith of Ocala, FL, Robin Ruffner of Ocala, FL, Tammy Wiley of Jacksonville, FL and Poppy Ganley of New york; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
