Richard W. Dondero, 80, of Leesburg, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, Richard lived a life rich in love, laughter, and remarkable experiences. He served honorably as a Military Police officer during the Vietnam era, demonstrating unwavering dedication and bravery. After his service, he proudly retired as a Staff Sergeant with the Massachusetts State Troopers, where he served from 1968 to 1989, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community.

Richard was known for his good nature, infectious sense of humor, and incredible storytelling abilities. Whether sharing tales from his time in the military or recounting family adventures, he had a unique way of captivating everyone around him. His laughter and warmth created an atmosphere of joy, making every gathering a cherished memory.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Dondero of Leesburg, FL; who was his steadfast partner through life's journey. Together, sharing a beautiful loving marriage of 33years. He unconditionally loved his children: Anthony Maggiore of Pembroke, MA; Christopher Maggiore of Braintree, MA; Janine Maggiore of Quincy, MA; and Michael Maggiore of Braintree, MA. Each of them carries forward his spirit, embodying the kindness and humor he shared so freely. Richard also leaves behind his two beloved brothers, Harry Dondero and Daniel Dondero; niece Catherine Dondero; as well as 9 grandsons who will forever remember the laughter and love they shared.

Richard W. Dondero will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by family and friends. His legacy of love, laughter, and storytelling will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding us all of the joy he brought into our lives.
