Mount Dora

Patricia Adler Nicol, 99, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She was born in Eustis, Florida on September 2, 1925 to her parents Clarence and Ethel Adler. She has been a lifelong resident of Lake County. Prior to her retirement Patricia was a Bookkeeper. Patricia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora. She is survived by her Daughter, Krystal (Pete) Huchingson of Mount Dora, FL. Sister, Barbara Nichols of Taylorsville, NC, Grandson, Joshua Huchingson and by numerous extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward J. (Ted) Nicol, brother, James Adler, and grandson, Christopher Dalton. Patricia loved Jesus Christ, she loved to sing in the choir. She loved reading her Wall Street Journal and daily newspapers that her son-in-law brought her daily from the village’s Daily Sun. She liked to play word search puzzles. She had a passion for all animals. Her stories were endless which contained so much information. She was a peacekeeper when things went array with the family. Her prayers were magical. Now for snack time. She had more snacks hidden around her bedroom and secret hiding spots. It was baffling; she definitely loved her sweets. She was the biggest kid when it came to sweets. Her grandson, a “commercially rated pilot” would take her to lunch, she even flew the plane on her own(her face lite up like a big kid). She loved watching Billy Graham on TV with Krystal(her daughter). Patricia would often chime in on the songs that were playing that day. She loved to garden, which is coincidentally her favorite song, “In the Garden”. She would go out and often help her “son-in law”(Pete) in the garden/plants and shrubs etc around the house. That brought her joy. Patricia in her younger years sang on the radio quite often. She had the most beautiful voice. She took pride in everything she did and always did it to the best of her abilities taking no shortcuts. Most of all Patricia helped so many people. She helped so many people in numerous different ways. Her good deeds were in abundance like no other.
