Melva Foxworth Bradley, age 78, of Sanford, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025 at Casa Bella, a Hospice House in The Villages, FL. Born in Hartford, Alabama to Rev. Limuel Grady and Ruby Powers Foxworth, Melva made her way to Tavares, Florida, in 1952 and proudly graduated from Tavares High School in the Class of 1964. Throughout her life, Melva was dedicated to serving others. She held various positions in the community from being a foster and later a shelter parent, owning and running a daycare, being a cashier at Hardees- Leesburg, KFC & The Home Depot (Forest City), Office Manager of The Dream Center- Sanford showing a kind and friendly face to many in the community. As a member of One Church in Longwood, she demonstrated her commitment to her faith and the well-being of others by working in the nursery, teaching the Rainbows Class, singing in the choir, being an intercessor, being an assistant to Pastor Stan, working with the Seniors group, leading the Nursing home Ministry at Spring Hill Assisted Living in Lake Mary and typing and maintaining the prayer list for the intercessors. She was also a volunteer for Lake County Schools where she often was either helping to set up her daughter’s classroom or doing paperwork or prep work (cutting out laminate or making hats) at home. Melva became an ordained minister with YWAM in 2010.She is lovingly remembered by her son, Robert (Elizabeth) Bradley of Fruitland Park, Florida; daughters, June (Kenny) Rogers of New York, Judy Witcher of Arizona, Melody Bradley of Eustis, Florida; and her brother, James Foxworth of Cheraw, South Carolina, daughters not by blood Amy (Mike) Coyle and Pam (Doug) Harris of Longwood, Florida. Grandchildren; Harold Witcher, Sr, Justin Witcher, Heather Bunten, Kyle Rogers, Cheyenne Bradley, William Bradley (Lexie), Rhett Bradley, Jordan Bradley and grandchildren not by blood; Erik Dehne, Kyle (Jess)Dehne, Josh (Francessa) Dehne, Courtney (Dr. Juan) Diaz and Kayla Coyle. A Celebration of Life service will be held at One Church in Longwood, Florida, on Sunday, June 15th at 6pm. In honor of Melva’s legacy, memorial donations may be made to the One Church Youth Missions Trip, located at 1675 Dixon Road, Longwood, FL 32779. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18th at Carmel Assembly 1485 Carmel Church Road Bonifay, FL 32425 at 2pm local time.
