Lester Alvin Denton

Lester Alvin Denton, 85, of Mount Dora, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. Born in Lake of the Woods, Minnesota, he has been a winter resident of Mount Dora since 2000 moving here permanently in 2022 from Bolton, North Carolina. He worked as a woods foreman for a Paper company, was a member of the Mount Dora Seventh Day Adventist Church and was formerly a volunteer firefighter and medic in Bolton, NC. Lester served his country in the US Army. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Martha Jan Denton, Mount Dora, FL; son, Randy Denton, Delco, NC; 3 daughters, Kaye Denton Gillis, Wilmington, NC, Patti (Juan Carlos) Gomez, Apopka, FL, Carmen (Brooks) Langley, McLeansville, NC; sister, Doris Wagner, Berrien Springs, MI; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
