Tavares, Florida

Kathy died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children Michael, Colleen and Kathleen. She worked in accounting as a bookkeeper for a manufacturing business where she was loved and respected by all. Kathy spent many years dedicated to special causes, particularly for the homeless and those who suffered from substance abuse disorders. Whether it was donating her time, money or food, she always had a kind word and a helping hand.  She volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Society at her parish. Kathy was also a volunteer at her local political club as well as a volunteer usher for the local theatre in Eustis and the Salvation Army homeless shelter. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Eustis, Florida and was also a member of the Cennacle group of the Marian Movement of Priests. She was affectionately known as “K.B.” by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered by those who loved her for her infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor.   Above all else, family was paramount to Kathy. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a strong sense of family and imparted that sense of loyalty in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. She is survived by her son, Michael Joseph Wright from Tavares, FL; daughters, Colleen Marie Richman-Thomey from Yonkers, NY, and Kathleen Anne Wright-Dempsey from Wappingers Falls, NY. Additionally, she is survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Her two brothers Joseph Alfred Basford and Michael Jon Basford, preceded her in death. Online Guestbook available at www.hardenpauli.com Arrangements by Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis, Florida.
