Jonathan Gates Burnham

Jonathan Gates Burnham, 57, of Eustis, Florida, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 20, 2024. Born June 12, 1966, in Long Branch, NJ, Jon lived briefly in Ohio and Rhode Island as an adult before relocating to his home state of NJ. He moved to Florida in 2014. As an adult, Jon decided to return to school, earning his bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University (NJ) and his Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University (RI). A flooring contractor, Jon was talented in many areas and worked in several different fields throughout his life. He loved the water, was a U.S. history/Constitution buff, could cook, and had a green thumb. He could also repair or build just about anything, and always said instructions were, “overrated.” He is survived by his sons Jake & Andrew, his partner Michelle and her children, his mother Carol, his brother Stephen (Bianca), sister Debbie (Greg) and three nieces & nephews.
