John Joseph "Chip" Koss III, 76, of Eustis, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Eustis, retiring as a Sergeant First Class of the US Army after serving in the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the Elk's Lodge, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years, Joan Johnson-Koss of Bushnell, FL; 8 daughters, Ali Downing, Noel Koss, Janice (Jay) Boleyn, Wanda Linger, Karen (George) Pearce, Tracy (James) NeSmith, Valerie (Chris) Costanza, and Jarell (Tim) Fox; 14 Grandchildren; several Great-Grandchildren; special friends Tia Belton and Tony Aasbury; and many other family, neighbors and friends. Chip was preceded in death by his parents, John Joseph Koss, Jr, Johnnie Pringle Koss and his son, Michael Fitzgerald Koss.
