Jerry Lee Fairfield, 85, of Wildwood, Florida, peacefully passed away on April 14, 2025. Born in Hamletsburg, Illinois, Jerry made Wildwood his home in 2007, moving from Cochran, Georgia. A proud veteran, Jerry achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After retiring from military service, he utilized his diverse skills and experiences to pursue a successful career in various fields, including real estate as an agent with Century 21, management roles at Food Lion and Wal-Mart, overseeing several 7-11 stores, working with Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical and the United States Air Force in electronics. Jerry was also a devoted member of Whitney Baptist Church in Leesburg, Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Cynthia S. Fairfield; son, Jerry Lee (Marisa) Fairfield of Laguna Beach, CA; daughter, Beth (Brian) Fairfield of Moisnee, WI; daughter, Tanya (Daniel) Botelho of Vancouver, WA; son, Steve (Sherry) Fairfield of Cochran, GA; and daughter, Rhonda Fairfield of Warner Robins, GA. He is also survived by his four brothers, Ronnie (Millie) Fairfield of Cochran, GA; Dennis Fairfield of Leesburg, FL; Marcus (Donna) Fairfield of Kankakee, IL; Raymond (Carolyn) Fairfield of Bourbonnais, IL; five sisters, Doris (Byron) Hodge of Brookport, IL; Lela McCoy of Bradley, IL; Amelia Wahl of De Soto, MO; Audrey (Donald) Konemann of Bradley, IL; Nancy (Jeff) Windhorst of Metropolis, IL; along with 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at Whitney Baptist Church in Leesburg on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 9:00 AM, followed by interment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Whitney Baptist Church, 32630 Whitney Road, Leesburg, FL 34748.Online condolences may be shared at www.hardenpauli.com.
