Jeffrey Don Wells

Jeffrey Don Wells, age 64, passed away peacefully, January 9, 2026, in Leesburg, Florida after a long illness. Jeff was born in Corning, New York on August 13, 1961, residing in Lindley, NY, until graduating from Corning-Painted Post West High School in 1979. Upon graduation, Jeff started his own Tractor Trailer business, concentrating on car transport, his passion for 35 years, until his retirement in 2021. Jeff married Stephanie Burgett on April 9, 1988, and together had two sons, living in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Jeff enjoyed photography, NASCAR, reading, travel, cruises, and especially camping at Fort Wilderness/Disney. Jeffrey was predeceased by his parents, Everett Don Wells and Virginia Ball Wells, and his brother, Phillip Wayne Wells. Jeff is survived by his wife, Stephanie; sons Brett (Rylie) and Ryan; grandson Bradley; sisters, Cathy Berry (Robert Warner) and Donna “Susie” Santella; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to Patrice and Winston Bartlett for their continuous loving care. There will be a celebration of life Sunday, January 25th, 2026, 1:00 PM at Jeremiah's Restaurant in Mount Dora; 500 N Highland St, Mt Dora, FL 32757. There will be no calling hours. Harden-Pauli Funeral Home is handling arrangements; 1617 S. Bay Street, Eustis, FL 32726. A private burial will be held at Tavares Cemetery, Tavares, Florida at a later date.
