James Edward Smith, Sr.

James "Jim" Edward Smith, Sr., 89, of Eustis, Florida, passed away on May 13, 2025. Born in Camden, New Jersey, he began spending winters in Central Florida in 1987 and made Eustis his permanent home in 2007 after relocating from Cinnaminson, New Jersey. Jim was a dedicated IT professional and an active member of Bay Street Baptist Church in Umatilla, Florida, as well as Easton Bible Church in Hainesport, New Jersey. He is remembered for his faith, kindness, and the love he shared with his family. Jim is survived by his sons, James E. (Frances) Smith, Jr. of Eustis, FL, and Paul D. Smith of Riverside, NJ; and his daughters, Lorrie L. (John) Entwistle and Beverly J. (Tim) LaBorn, both of Riverside, NJ. James cherished his family, which includes 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward his legacy of love and support. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida.
