James Michael Kennedy, known affectionately as Jim to his friends and family, passed away on June 22, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. He was born on December 5, 1949, in Boston Massachusetts. Jim led a fulfilling life dedicated to hard work and service. He proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he embarked on a successful career as a salesman, dedicating over 30 years of his life to Danny Len Buick GMC of Eustis. His commitment and passion for his work left a lasting impact on all those he encountered. In addition to his professional achievements, Jim was a proud Lifetime Member of AMVETS, showcasing his dedication to supporting fellow veterans and their families. He will be lovingly remembered by his surviving family members. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 53 years, Sharron B. Kennedy of Mount Dora, FL; his son Brandon Michael (Meghan) Kennedy of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Aimee (Darren Eames) Kennedy of Tampa, FL; brother Stephen Kennedy of Mansfield, MA; and grandchildren Dillon and Claire. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Anne Kennedy, grandson Rylan Kennedy, and brother Bob Kennedy. Jim's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A visitation in memory of James Michael Kennedy will be held on July 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Harden Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life event at 3:00 PM to honor and cherish his life well-lived. In honoring Jim's memory and legacy, let us remember him fondly for the love he shared with those around him and the kindness he exhibited throughout his journey. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at www.t2t.org.
