James David Gambrell

James David Gambrell, 54, of Eustis, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Cornerstone Hospice, Tavares, FL. Jim was born on August 30, 1968, to Sharon (Gatch) Gambrell and the late James Dwight Gambrell, both of Eustis, FL. Jim is survived by his wife, Connie Gambrell of Grand Island, his mother, Sharon L. Gatch of Mount Dora, his sister, Ashleigh Shinn, Tavares, FL, his brother, Aaron J. Shinn of Chattanooga, TN, his step-son, Timothy Burcham, OH, and his uncle Carrol (Renelda) Gatch, and his uncle, John Gatch. Also survived by his cousins, Eugene (Sadie) Gatch, and Jane (Andrew) Bizier, and 5 nieces and 2 nephews. Jim was predeceased by his brother Stephen Craig Gambrell, and his cousin JR Gambrell. Jim graduated from Eustis High School in 1987. With the help of his Uncle Carrol and Aunt Renelda, and his step-dad, Richard Shinn, we got him through school - though not his favorite activity. However, he sailed through truck driving school with flying colors. Jim loved heavy equipment, shown by his experience with Superior Asphalt, Lake County Landfill, CK Supply and Sathers Candy Co in Chattanooga, TN, Firehawk Helicopters, Ring Power, and CDT, Lake City, FL. He loved the mountains and waterfalls of western North Carolina. He and his Dad had some good times in the beautiful areas of North Carolina. A funeral service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Schneck of Life Community Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the National Kidney Foundation of Florida (5756 S Semoran Blvd, Orlando FL 32822), or your favorite charity.
