James Robert Brandon

James Robert Brandon, of Leesburg, FL and formerly of Lima, Ohio. Jim was born to Harry R. and Cleo L. (nee Meeker) Brandon in Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death 8 months ago by his beloved wife of 72 years, Imogene Brandon (nee Converse). He is survived by his daughters, Lynne Wortham of Garner, NC, Marcie Margraves of Leesburg, FL, Cyntra “Sue” Chambers of Cincinnati, OH and Deanna (Rodney) Thompson of Temperance, MI. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a sister, Moneen Dudgeon. He is also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Howell. Jim passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the age of 91. Jim was a Marine veteran and retired from Dana Incorporated after 23 years. Jim was an active member in the Leesburg Lodge No. 58 F & AM, AmVets Post 2006 Leesburg, FL, Eustis Elks Lodge 1578, Loyal Order of Moose 1271 and the Lake County Eagles 4273. Jim enjoyed volunteering for the Shriners and being the village handyman. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Jim will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 12:30pm.
