Harry “Glenn” Sibert, Jr., age 88, passed away on December 4, 2025, in Paisley, Florida. He was born on December 23, 1936, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Annie Ruth Sibert and Harry Glenn Sibert, Sr.

Glenn spent his life working with his hands, proudly serving in the U.S. Army as a big-engine mechanic and later continuing using those skills throughout his life. He had an incredible mind for understanding how things worked; if something broke, Glenn wouldn’t rest until he figured out the problem and fixed it. His determination and curiosity made him the person everyone called when they needed help.

Glenn enjoyed the simple joys of life—fishing, hunting, and riding through the woods just to take in the world around him.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Sibert. Though he had no children of his own, he welcomed Norma’s five children, Rhonda Martinez (Pete), Pat Simons (Al), Lavaughn Davis (Mike), Glenda Gibson (Gary) and J.D Davis (Phyllis) into his life wholeheartedly. Over the years he became a loving presence to their children and grandchildren, who affectionately knew him as “Pop.” Family meant everything to him, and the time he spent with them was always the highlight of his days.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy Jones, and his brother, David Sibert, both of Chapin, South Carolina. Glenn loved visiting them and always looked forward to the time they shared. Some of his happiest memories were made during those trips—sitting together, talking for hours, and relaxing on the swing as they enjoyed the quiet comfort of one another’s company. Those visits were a source of joy, laughter, and connection that meant the world to him.

His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
