Listen to Obituary

Our loving, heavenly Father called Greg Sizer home on Sunday, December 21, 2025. He was 53 years old. He passed away in Tavares, Florida. He was born in Bellary, Karnataka State, India. On April 16, 1980, he came to Granger, Washington, where his family Stanley Dean and Kathleen L (nee Weddle) Sizer and his two sisters, Colleen and Stephanie welcomed him home. He was later joined by brothers Anthony D.G. Sizer and William M. Cowl.

His childhood was spent on his dad’s farm, where he learned how to work from a young age. This shaped his work ethic while learning how to be a good student. Greg enjoyed sports and had a great ability to play Little League baseball, track & field, basketball and football in school. He was also involved in Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He and his sisters graduated from Granger High School in 1992. He was voted Boy of the Year of the Graduating Class of 1992 because he was so well liked by all the students and teachers. He went on to Seattle Central Community College earning a culinary arts degree and then worked for a high-end catering company in Seattle. This led him to work on private yachts, travel the world, and have amazing experiences he often recalled fondly. These adventures landed him in Florida.

In Florida, he met and fell in love with Meranda Bolous, whom he married on June 13, 2010, and settled in Hollywood, Florida. In 2018, they moved to Grand Island, Florida. Meranda and Greg were blessed with the greatest gift, Noah, in 2011. It was clear to everyone that Greg loved his family immensely. He often sought to teach, encourage, and support them. He was a loving, devoted and heavily invested husband and father and wanted the best for them. Greg gave unconditional love to Meranda and Noah as he did to the Bolous and Sizer families. He was genuine, compassionate, and served others selflessly and consistently. He was so dearly loved by all.

Greg was working on his real estate broker’s license at the time of his heaven-bound departure. He was passionate about his career in real estate mainly because he loved to serve people. He did so with the utmost integrity and professionalism. He was actively involved in the community and made an immediate and lasting impact on everyone he met. He was always the first to step in to help people whether at home, work or church.

Greg and his family have put their faith in the Lord Jesus and were an active part of Trinity Eustis. Greg faithfully served in the men’s Monday night ministry, attended a Saturday morning Bible study and can always be found loving his church family on Sunday, serving whenever possible, and looking for opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus. This internal question (that he verbalized often at home) served as a guide to his thoughts, actions, and motives; “Will this glorify God?”. He was faithful to the end, loving God and his Word, his family and everyone he met. He boldly and confidently shared his faith with others so they, too, can know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Greg and his family loved life and lived it surrounded by friends and family, often sharing meals and playing board games. He was as competitive as they come! His nieces and nephews delighted in ‘Uncle Greg’ and how he would get so excited, driving the competitive spirit out of them all, making everyone’s goal to “beat Uncle Greg”.

Greg is fondly remembered for his beautiful smile and big bear hugs that he so generously gave his loved ones. His love knew no bounds and that love was showered back by friends and family.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Meranda, and son, Noah Sizer, Grand Island, FL; mother, Kathleen L. Sizer, Granger; two brothers, Anthony (Megan) Sizer and daughter Isabella and anticipated birth of nephew Zion, Phoenix, AZ; Bill Cowl and daughters Meghan and Macey and fiancé Jennifer Paradis, of Haverhill, MA; two sisters, Colleen (Matthew) Christenson and children Claire and John, Cowiche, WA; and Stephanie (Corey) Harbott and children Audrey, Thor and Madeline, Crookston, MN; Uncle Bruce Sizer, Granger and son Simon, Yakima, WA; Uncle Jerry (Charlene) Weddle and children Joel Krause and Nick (Katie) Krause and children, all of Oregon; Aunt Demaris Garceau, WA and children Melody (Ben) Marlow and children, Canada and Devona (Ed) Vader and children, WA; his in-laws Wadie and Ferial Bolous, brothers-in-law David (Suzy) Bolous and children, Timothy, Hannah and Joshua; Mark (Mary) Bolous and children, Joseph and Julia.
