Gordon Charles Walsh, 94, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on 12/15/2025. Gordon was married to the love of his life, Gladys Joy Walsh, for 72 years. He and his late wife moved to Florida in 1990, then to Mount Dora in 2023. He was a loving husband and father, retired Milwaukee Firefighter for 30 years, Korea War Veteran, Honor Flight Recipient, and VFW member. He was in the first class of Paramedics for the City of Milwaukee.
He was happiest while at Sandy Lake, hosting an ever-growing cottage of family, enjoying the famous bacon frys, corn roasts, and the occasional potato caper. He worked very hard for his family and was loved by all.
Gordon is survived by his daughter, Linda Welky of Richland Hills, Texas; 2 sons, Jim (Kathy) Walsh of Mount Dora, Florida, David (Debbie) Walsh of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; daughter Teri (Randy) Olver of Durham, New Hampshire. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Betsy (Matt), Raymond (Amanda), Jennifer, Allison (Jordon), Kevin, Elizabeth (Phil), Sarah (Nik), and Ryan (Shannon); and by 8 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Theresa Walsh, his brother Edward Walsh, his son-in-law James Welky, and by his granddaughter Krista Welky.
