Glen Alan Ringer

Glen Alan Ringer, 65, of Grand Island, Florida, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he made his way to Grand Island in 2018, moving here from Miami, Florida. Glen had a distinguished career as a Sergeant with the Department of Corrections at the South Florida Reception Center. He was deeply involved in his community, having served as the South Regional Director of the Florida Gang Investigator's Association and being a dedicated member of the Police Benevolent Association. Glen is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Virginia (Mejia) Ringer; his mother, Patricia Ann Ringer (nee Sullivan); his son, Joshua Alan Ringer; his daughter, Virginia Dolores Ringer; and his cherished grandpuppies, Ama, Hachi, and Clyde. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Harvey Ringer. His memory will be honored by all who knew and loved him.
