Giovanni "John" Caruso

Giovanni "John" Caruso, 88, of Eustis, FL died on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Born in Pachino, Sicily, Italy, he moved to Eustis in 1989 from Highland, New York. He was a Mason with New Paltz State University in New Paltz, NY. John was a very active member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Life Member of the Italian American Club and former member of the Eustis Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Laura; 3 sisters, Sebastina Consales of Toronto, Canada, Josephina Mizzi of Toronto, Canada and Sister Maria Caruso of Siracusa, Sicily, Italy. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Friday, October 30, 2009, at 9:00 AM. Entombment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery Columbarium.
