Edward Melvin Johnson

Edward Melvin Johnson, 78, of Paisley, FL passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025. Born in Tampa, Florida, he lived the majority of his life in Central Florida. Edward was a United States Navy Veteran, and retired from the City of Orlando after 25 years. Ed had a passion for riding his Harley with his friends and family and enjoyed the wind blowing through his hair. He was a very talented woodworker and build pieces that will keep his legacy alive for many generations. Ed was a dedicated father to April and spend endless hours and days teaching her everything from mechanics to home repairs and finances. He was a big part in making her the woman & mother she is today. He was a man of wisdom and kindness with since of humor and will be missed dearly. He is survived by his partner in life, Christine Kidwell of Paisley, FL; daughter, April (Alan) Scalise of Apopka, FL; brother, Bill (Shirley) Johnson of Deland, FL; grandson, Hayden Scalise of Apopka, FL; step-daughters, Sheila (Silas) and Anida (Roy); step-granddaughters, Teresa (Robert), Alicia (Zach) and Lauren (Chandler); step-grandsons, Austin and Nicholas; step-great-grandsons, Landon, Easton who loved his Papaw like he hung the moon and Kaison; step-great-granddaughter, Avery.
