Doris J. Hutchinson

Doris J. Hutchinson, age 94, previously of Hudson, Florida, passed away on February 17, 2024. She was born to the late Kenneth Carlton and Marietta Maria (Blanchard) Taylor on September 7, 1929, in Abington, Massachusetts. Doris was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Florida. Doris loved decorating and hosting parties for the holidays. She was an avid reader, fierce bridge player, and enjoyed clog dancing with her husband, James. Doris is survived by her children, Maureen A. Bundick (Terry), Sharon L. Halstead (Mark), Tracy L. Hutchinson, and Kevin J. Hutchinson (Estella); daughter-in-law Debbie Stewart; her grandchildren James C. Hutchinson III, Bridget M. Halstead, Samuel J. Halstead, Margaret A. Halstead, Jennifer A. Thompson, Bryan A. Hutchinson (Andrea, and Kyle E. Hutchinson; her brother, Richard Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews; and a lifetime of beloved friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, James Charles Hutchinson; their son James C. Hutchinson, Jr.; granddaughter Courtney L. Hutchinson; her parents; and her siblings, Virginia Chapman, Louise Chapman, Norma Fisher, Mariam Conor, Winifred Weeks, Donald Taylor, and Robert Taylor. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 am, Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., immediately followed by the funeral service at 11:30 am. Fr. Tony Seba from St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, with her husband James.
