Donna Hegwood

Donna Hegwood, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, in Summerfield, Florida, at the age of 93. Born on July 14, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, Donna's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication and passion for the restaurant industry, where she devoted her entire career. Her work brought joy to many and left a lasting impact on the countless lives she touched. Donna was a loving mother to five daughters: Nancy Price of Fort McCoy, FL, Donna Eckardt of Merritt Island, FL, Debbie Raulerson of Sorrento, FL, Linda Holbert of Cooksville, TN, and Sally Hunt of Bristol, PA. Her love and guidance molded them into the incredible women they are today, and her spirit will continue to live on through them. In addition to her daughters, Donna was a proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of family that includes 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom carry her warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit within them. Donna was preceded in death by her beloved son, William Hegwood, and daughter, Patricia Wilbanks, both of whom now welcome her with open arms. Though their absence created a void in her life, they remain forever etched in her memory and heart. Though Donna has departed from this world, her indomitable spirit, fierce love for her family, and contributions to her community will resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and dedication will be carried forward by her family and etched in the hearts of everyone she encountered.
