Dew Drop Begley, 88, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and sparkle.
Born in Pembroke, Kentucky, Dew Drop lived a life as colorful as her name. After moving to Mount Dora in 1995 from Orlando, she quickly became a beloved part of her new community—always bringing laughter, light, and a story to share.
A true adventurer at heart, Dew Drop spent her life soaring high—literally. She flew airplanes, explored the world, and built thriving businesses along the way. Guided by compassion, she served as a board member for the Bereaved Survivors of Homicide, offering strength and understanding drawn from her own life’s experience. As a member of the Mount Dora Church of Christ, she grew both in faith and friendship.
Dew Drop’s proudest legacy was her family, whom she loved fiercely and endlessly. She is survived by her daughters Libby (Bob) Jopperi of Tavares, FL, and Mandy (Dave) Vatter of Eustis, FL; her four cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey Harman Jr., Lauren Ruiz, Matthew Jopperi, and Emily Bellegarde; and her eight great-grandchildren who lit up her world: Landon, Luke, Lilly, Owen, Rivers, Phoenix, Maddie, and Molly. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Martha D. Hayes of Livonia, MI and her step-son Paul Begley of MS. She is reunited in heaven with her husbands, Dr. Benjamin Street Bell and Carl Begley; her son, Benjamin Street Bell; and her brother, William Dunn.
A celebration of Dew Drop’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Mount Dora Church of Christ, followed by interment at Pine Forest Cemetery in Mount Dora. Arrangements are entrusted to Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida. Dew Drop will be remembered for her boundless energy, her generous heart, and the sparkle she left everywhere she went—a true original whose spirit will keep flying high in all who loved her.
