David Eugene Bronson, 81, of Tavares, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Born April 30, 1944, in Findlay, Ohio to Melba (McGaugh) and George K. Bronson, he attended schools in Defiance, Findlay and Florida, Ohio. David was a 1962 graduate of Florida High School in Ohio. He was employed at Johns-Manville 1962-1964. In 1964, David married Rosalie Burkhart in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Defiance, Ohio. He was employed at Central Foundry from 1964 through 1976. They lived on South Clinton Street in Defiance until they moved to Zephyrhills, Florida. He owned and operated Pasco Motor Sports in Zephyrhills 1976-1978. In 1978, they moved to Eustis, Florida. David owned and operated Bronson Electric Service in Eustis employing several electricians. He also owned and operated dbAlarms in Eustis. David and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motorhome through forty-nine states. In 2011, they moved to Vista Del Largo in Tavares, Florida. David is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosalie; two daughters Kelly (Jeff) Jauschneg of Middleburg, Florida, and Tracy Babcock (Danny Ward) of Umatilla, Florida; five grandchildren, David Babcock, Taylor Jenkins, Connor Jenkins-LaVene, Bailey Babcock, Brady Jenkins; two great grandchildren, Jenna Babcock and Hailey Babcock. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:30 AM. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis prior to the graveside from 9:00 AM till 10:15 AM.
