Bertram F. Collins, age 99, went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2025. He was born in Newton, Massachusetts, to Edmund and Marion Collins and, following their demise, was adopted and raised by his aunt and uncle, Harry and Bertha Stanbon, in Marblehead, Massachusetts. In 1944, he was inducted into the U.S. Army, served in Special Services in Hawaii, and was released from active duty at war's end. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. degree in Engineering, followed by graduate study under a Rotary International Fellowship at the University of Wales, Great Britain. For fifteen years, he was employed as a consultant with the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, and, in 1961, founded UCAC, Inc., an administrative services company in Boston, moving the corporation to West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1975. He remained CEO and Chief Financial Officer of UCAC until he retired and moved to Eustis, Florida. Mr. Collins owned and operated a cattle-breeding farm in northern Virginia for 30 years and, in addition, was an ocean yachtsman and a multi-engine-rated pilot. Mr. Collins is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joan, his four adult children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
