Alicia Arroyo, age 66, departed this world on November 28, 2025, in Eustis, Florida. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 15, 1959, Alicia’s passion for knowledge was evident early in life, reflected in her work at Cornell University Medical College and her teaching at Brooklyn Technical College. In the mid-1990s, Alicia relocated to Miami and later to Orlando. She cultivated an impressive career in the medical field at Jackson Memorial Hospital before ultimately transitioning to public service. With a master’s degree, she dedicated herself to the transportation industry, embodying professionalism and a fierce passion that resonated with colleagues and the community alike. Alicia’s talents and passions brought joy to those around her. She had a beautiful singing voice that inspired others, and her creativity extended through her love of crafts—arranging flowers, designing personalized gifts, and exploring interior design—all of which carried her nurturing spirit. She was a devoted and loving aunt, whose warmth, thoughtfulness, love for her dogs, and generosity enriched the lives of her nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her cherished mother, Luz Arroyo of Orlando, FL, whose love and guidance were instrumental in shaping the compassionate daughter Alicia became. She is also survived by her three devoted brothers—Jose A. (Maritza) Arroyo Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL; Ricardo A. (Lourdes) Arroyo of Orlando, FL; and Xavier A. (Claudia) Arroyo of Winter Garden, FL—each of whom shared countless memories that reflect Alicia’s caring nature. Additionally, she is lovingly remembered by her eleven nieces and nephews, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness, creativity, and enduring love. Her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support enriched their lives in ways they will forever cherish. Alicia was preceded in death by her father, Jose Antonio Arroyo, whose spirit she carried with her throughout her life. His influence and love remained a guiding force until her final days. A visitation celebrating Alicia's life will be held at Harden Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida, on December 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This gathering will be followed by a Celebration of Life, sharing cherished stories and rekindling fond memories, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It will be a heartfelt homage to a woman who lived for others and ignited positive change wherever her journey took her. Alicia Arroyo will be remembered not just for her achievements, but for the love, creativity, and joy she infused into the lives of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her spirit rest peacefully, embraced by memories that will forever light the hearts she touched.
