Robert (Bob) M. Bryan, a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the age of 81. Bob was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, on June 3, 1939 to the late Robert D. and Elizabeth A. Bryan. Bob and his wife, Carol lived in six states before moving to Florida for retirement in 1986. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force North American Air Defense Command and served from 1959 to 1963 during the Vietnam war period, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Bay of Pigs Invasion. Bob enlisted at Pittsburgh, PA and was discharged at Selfridge Air Force Base, Mount Clemens, Michigan. Bob, following his discharge from the Air Force, worked as an Engineering Technician for NASA at Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD. He along with four others, engineered the communications for the space tracking stations throughout the world, for the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo Manned Space Flight programs. He later worked as an Engineering Supervisor and a Project Manager for Sprint from which he later retired at age 56. Bob was a member of the Eustis American Legion Post 41, former secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Eustis, Florida, was Volunteer of the year 2014 with the Lake County, Florida Sheriff’s Office, and member of Lake Haven Church, Eustis. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Carol Bryan, Eustis; son, Jeffrey (Dee) Bryan, Longwood, FL; daughter-in-law, Hope Bryan, Port St. Lucie, FL; 3 grandchildren, Steven, Riley, A.J.; 2 step-grandchildren, Brian Byars, Christina Byars. Bob was also preceded in death by his 2 sons, Robert Scott Bryan, Stephen Douglas Bryan. A graveside service will be held at All Faiths Memorial Park, Casselberry, FL on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
