Robert Thomas Bowden

Robert Thomas Bowden, 63, succumbed to throat cancer on May 13, 2020 in Sorrento, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, John Bowden and mother, Sarah Vaughn Bowden. He was born in Lansing, Michigan and grew up in Okemos, Michigan playing sports throughout middle school and high school until his senior year when he moved to Orlando, Florida. He made a successful 30-year career in the electrical business, eventually starting his own company. He retired in 2017 where he moved to Wekiva Falls, Florida to enjoy hunting and fishing with his buddies. He should have been a comedian as he could tell a story like no other. He is survived by son Cory Bowden of Oklahoma; sisters, Judy Brown (Nick) of Perrinton, Michigan; Sally Joanne Potts of Pembroke Pines, FL; Jamie Campbell of Marietta, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends. No services will be held for Robert. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org or to any local Humane Society.
