Meralyn Ione Buford

Meralyn Ione Buford, 99, of Leesburg, Florida passed away Friday, November 20, 2020. Born in Kent, Illinois, she moved to Leesburg in 1984 from Freeport, Illinois. She was an Executive Bank Secretary prior to her retirement. Meralyn was an avid painter of porcelain china. She was a former 4-H leader, Church Choir director and Sunday School Teacher. Meralyn is predeceased by her parents, Grace E. and Ora R. Schubert, Husband, John Buford, Sister, Chloe DeStefano; and by Brother, Gailen Schubert. She is survived by her Sons, John (Caryl) of Costa Rica, Tim (Debi) of Mattoon, IL, Daughters V. Elizabeth (Ordean) Johnson of Story City, IA and Louise M. (Don) Brown of Mount Dora, FL; 9 Grandchildren, and 18 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. Services will be held in Freeport, Illinois at a later date.
