Lillian M. Rogers

Lillian M. Rogers, 83, of Eustis, passed away Wednesday October 4, 2017. She was born in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts to parents Michael and Leah (Pelczar) Danko. Lillian attended and excelled at a textile college near her home. She was transferred to a management position in Rocky Mount N.C. where she met her husband. They married and moved to Texas where she gave birth to her daughter, Lil Anne. She moved to Central Florida in 1957. Her second daughter, Elaine was born in Orlando. She came to know Jesus six weeks before giving birth to Elaine and was baptized six weeks after. Lillian loved being a mother and homemaker and grandmother. Her daughters were blessed by her gentle ways and her great love for the Lord. Lillian taught Sunday School for many years and enjoyed ministering to others and sharing her faith in Jesus. She was a wonderfully devoted mother and grandmother. She was famous for her pot roasts. Once her children were grown she attended college again and got a degree in horticulture. Lillian was a Licensed Pilot and she enjoyed restoring antique and vintage aircraft and automobiles. In later years Lillian had a wonderful career with JC Penney. Friends and family loved visiting her at the mall and being greeted by her wonderful smile. She is survived by her Daughters and Sons-in- Law, Elaine and Malcolm Sharpe of Eustis, FL, and Lil and John Jolliff of Eustis, FL; and Grandchildren, Michael and Robert Jolliff and Cory Hannahan (Kyle), Rachel Risler (Daniel), Michelle and Hannah Sharpe. Services will be held at Life Pointe Church of Eustis, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Private Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.
