Larry L. Crecelius Sr.

Larry L. Crecelius, Sr., 81, of Leesburg, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021. Born in Eldora, Iowa, to the late Burrell & Alice Crecelius, they moved to Florida when Larry was a child in 1947 and to Astatula in 1956. He graduated from Tavares High School class of 1958. Larry served his country in the US Army. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ada M. Crecelius, Leesburg, FL; 2 sons, Larry L. (Rhonda) Crecelius, Jr., Leesburg, FL, George William "Billy" Crecelius, Leesburg, FL; 2 daughters, Susan Lynn (David Carpenter) Smithson, Leesburg, FL, Dena (Scott) McQuaig, Mascotte, FL; 7 grandchildren, Lindsay, Andrea, Katie, Cailbe, Zachery, Sidney, Amber; 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Janet Smithson. A memorial service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Astatula Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Lake County Animal Shelter, 12280 County Road 448, Tavares, FL 32778.
