Joseph D. Stever Sr.

Joseph Dean Stever Sr. (Joe), 77, of Sorrento, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021. Born in Elkland, Missouri, he moved to Sorrento in 2006 from North Carolina. He received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to pursue his Masters in 1972. Joseph is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Stever, Sorrento, Fl; daughter Teresa Hatton-Stever, Chicago; Joseph Dean Stever Jr. (Dean), Sorrento. He is also the cherished grandfather to Haley, Jared and Sean Hatton, Chicago; Harper and Payton Stever, Sorrento. Joe never met a stranger. Although he suffered from Parkinson’s for 30 years his spirit and love for life kept him strong and upbeat. He chose to be happy and focus on the positive aspects of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation to help fight the cure for Parkinson’s.
