Joseph Edwin Crumpton

Joseph Edwin Crumpton, 78, of Leesburg, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he moved to Leesburg in 1963 from Marianna, Florida. He was a fishery research biologist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Joe was a member of the American Fisheries Society, the Institute of Fishery Research Biologists, Certified Fishery Scientists and LifePointe Church, Eustis. He published 0ver 70 technical papers and publications. Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gwendolyn Crumpton, Leesburg, FL, 2 sons, David Andrew (Ann Wright)Crumpton of Mobile, AL, son, Christopher Paul Crumpton of Leesburg; granddaughter, Sarah (Jordan) Maruszak and 2 great-grandchildren, Rowan and Elizabeth Kathryn. A memorial services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM.
