Jose Efrain Cruz, 68, of Mount Dora, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022. Born in East Chicago, Indiana, he moved to Mount Dora in 2019 from Dania Beach, Florida. He was a Crane Operator for Inland Steel, East Chicago, IN and was a member of Central Christian Church, Mount Dora. Jose served in the US Air Force during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Luz P. Cruz, Mount Dora, FL; 2 sons, Efrain Cruz, Hobart, IN, Joel Cruz, South Haven, IN; 3 daughters, Angelic Bruno, Knox, IN, Eileen Russell, Loxahatchee, FL, Sindy Diaz Rodriguez, Miami Gardens, FL; 2 sisters, Yolonda Jaime, Portage, IN, Gloriangie Medellin, San Antonio, TX; 11 grandchildren. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Jose will be laid to rest with his mother at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
