John W. Davis, Jr., "Big Daddy", 67, of Leesburg, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Born in Live Oak, Florida, he moved to Leesburg in 1965 from Jasper, Florida. He was a state certified electrical contractor. He served for many years as a deacon at various churches and was recently a member of First Baptist Church, Leesburg. John served his country in the US Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Davis, Leesburg, FL; 2 sons, John W. (Shannon) Davis, III, Eustis, FL, Jason A. (Shawnda) Davis, Mount Dora, FL; sister, Margaret Lewis, Jasper, FL; 7 grandchildren, Ashton, Avery, Anna, Hannah, Mackenzie, Tyler, Drew; father-in-law, Dr. Earl Kelly, Tavares, FL. Services will be held at Orange Avenue Church of Christ, Eustis on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Tavares Cemetery, Tavares.
