Joaquin Ramon Perez

Joaquin Ramon Perez, 60, of Tavares, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Born in Manhattan, New York, he moved to Lake County in 1981 from Staten Island, NY. He was a Corrections Officer prior to his retirement. Joaquin Served in the U.S. Army and in the U.S. Navy and was proud of his service. Joaquin enjoyed working and teaching children and also helping children with special needs. He was a loud, funny jokester, who loved his family, and was proud of who he was and where he came from. If you met him you’d most likely have a smile on your face in minutes. He is survived by One Son; Three Daughters; out of Nine Brothers and Sisters he was survived by Six of his siblings; Seven Grandsons; and numerous extended family and friends. Services will be private. Interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial donations may be made to Cristina Perez.
