Jack D. Garofono

Jack D. Garofono, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2019. He was born on August 13, 1936 in Fairport, NY to Dominic and Florence (Vacca) Garofono. Jack was a supervisor for Siemens Stromberg-Carlson for 41 years in Lake Mary, FL and Walmart in Mount Dora for 10 years. He was a former President of the Italian-American Club at the Church of Annunciation in Altamonte Springs, FL. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine. He is survived by his son, Jack J. (Shannon) of Daphne, AL; 3 grandchildren, Morgantina of Mount Dora, FL, Alayna, and Jack R. of Daphne, AL; great-grandson, Luke Streeter; sister, Delores (Tom) Simone of Boston, MA; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 10:00am.
