Ildiko M. Gleason

Ildiko Mary Elizabeth Gleason, 89, of Tavares, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Born in Budapest, Hungary, she moved to Tavares in 2013 from Long Prarie, Minnesota. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Long Prarie, MN and was a current member of The Cross, Mount Dora. She was always very active in her home church. At The Cross, Mount Dora, she was active with Blessed Yarn, the Visiting Team and various other church activities. Ildiko is survived by her step-son, John Thornton (Sherry) of Tavares, FL; 3 granddaughters, Moriah Slovak, Miriam Thornton, Victoria Thornton and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Slovak. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gleason and sister, Blanca Enright. A memorial service will be held at The Cross, Mount Dora on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM.
