Donald Weinmann

Donald Weinmann, 84, of Tavares, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019. Born in Lapeer, New York, he moved to Lake County as a child. He graduated from Mount Dora High School with the class of 1953. Upon graduation, he entered the US Air Force. After serving 23 years during Korea & Vietnam, Don retired from the Air Force as a Tech Sergeant. After his military career, Don began working for the Lake County School Board at Umatilla Elementary School, where he worked for over 20 years retiring again in 1999. Don was Presbyterian. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie Weinmann, Tavares, FL; 2 sons, David Weinmann, Knob Noster, MO, Duane Weinmann, Lakeland, FL; 2 step-sons, Jack Castle, Franklin, NC, John English, Mount Plymouth, FL; 3 brothers, Les Weinmann, Sorrento, FL, Bob Weinmann, Indianapolis, IN, Chet Weinmann, Indianapolis, IN; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 7:00 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 till 7:00 PM. A military graveside service will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell on Thursday morning. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 237 East Marks, Orlando, FL 32803.
