Pastor David G. Grimm

David G. Grimm, 43, of Mount Dora passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of the Villages on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Born in Waukegan, Illinois, he grew up in San Diego, CA. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy as a piano player and served five years in the Navy Band. He was a proud veteran and considered it a high honor to serve his country. He, then, went on to Liberty University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in music and worship studies, as well as two master’s degree, including a Masters of Divinity. He has a passion for the word and was always motivated to learn more. He spent the next 13 years in full time ministry where he served in Jackson, TN, Independence, MO and most recently First Baptist Church of Mount Dora, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Galen Grimm. He is survived by his wife Marla, daughter, Addison, son, Josiah and mother Corine all of Mount Dora,FL, along with a loving extended family, faithful church family and the best of friends.
