The family of Carolyn Storts would like to announce a golden heart stopped beating and hardworking hands are at rest. Carolyn left this earth on the wings of a dove on, May 10, 2022, at the age of 80. Carolyn enjoyed her time here on earth. She was a dedicated volunteer. She gave 40 years of her time and energy to FACHE (Florida Association for Home & Community Education Affiliated) & Lake County 4-H. Carolyn held many offices in her county and state. She served as County President, State Secretary and State President for many years. She was very supportive of the Extension and 4-H program. She also at one time worked for G.C. Murphy and Today’s Woman. Her greatest love and achievement was her family. She was born at home in her grandparents' house in Arabia, Ohio on March 22, 1942 to the late Ray and Ruth Pinkerman. She grew up in Mutual, Ohio and graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1960. She dated and then married Dallas Storts in May of 1962. They moved from the farm in Ohio to Lake County, Florida in November of 1976. Together, they raised three children and were married for 40 years, until his untimely death in March of 2002. Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Sheila Scheiderer (Loren) of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; 2 son’s, Bryan Storts (Marilyn) of Mt. Dora, FL and Greg Storts of Oxford, FL; daughter, Renee Smith of Eustis, FL; 6 grandchildren, Jeffery Storts, Ethan Smith, Randi Storts, Nash Smith, Lee Storts, Audrey Storts; and 4 great-grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by: an infant grandson, Wesley Storts; son-in-law, Joseph Smith; 2 brothers, Jerry Pinkerman and Phil Pinkerman. A funeral service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis FL on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on May 13th. Burial will follow the funeral at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis where she will be laid to rest.
