Anthony "Tony" M. Biagini

January 20, 1927 — December 3, 2018

A much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Anthony M. “Tony” Biagini, 91, of Eustis, Florida, passed away at his home on Monday, December 3, 2018 surrounded by his family. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer. Tony was born and grew up in Cheshire, Massachusetts. He graduated from the former Adams Memorial High School. Tony served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, where he was stationed in Germany. A hard-working and highly conscientious man, Tony retired as a pipe fitter from the General Electric Company. He and his wife Peggy retired to Eustis, Florida in 1991, spending their summers in The Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. In 2011 they made the decision to permanently reside in the community of Country Club Manor in Eustis. Throughout the years, Tony and Peggy traveled extensively both within and outside the country. Tony was also a retired member of the Cheshire Fire Department. He was a communicant of the St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire as well as St. Mary of Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis. Tony was an exceptionally talented yet humble man. He enjoyed wood-carving, building and flying radio-controlled planes, reading, fishing, following politics and riding his bicycle. Being kind and always helping others best describes how he lived his life. Tony will be sadly missed by his true love and wife of 67 years, Margaret M. "Peggy" Biagini, Eustis, FL, daughter, Donna M. (Ronald) Virgilio, The Villages, FL; son, Anthony A. (Faith Ann) Biagini, Lincoln, CA; two grandchildren, Aimee M. (Michael) Lucenta, Kate M. (Michael) Zavattero; three great-grandchildren; Ava, Riley, Jakob; six (step) great-grandchildren Tyler, Caroline, Cooper, Danica, Vanessa, Chase. Undoubtedly, Tony’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought special joy and love into his life. He was predeceased by four brothers, Albert (died at age 2), Myro, Raymond, James and a sister Premitta (Biagini) Barosso. He also leaves numerous nephews and nieces. Donations may be made to The Cheshire Fire Department and/or HospiceCare Cornerstone.
