Alice Winship

Alice Winship, 79, of Independence, MO and Eustis, FL, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. A celebration of life service will be set in early spring. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alice Winship Memorial fund benefiting Firefighters relief funds, C/O Hawthorn Bank 220 W White Oak Independence MO 64050. Alice served her community as a beautician with a listening ear. She loved life on the road traveling in their RV. She touched so many lives and did it as Jesus said, love your neighbor and treat them as you would want to be treated. Let us all reflect on the kindness and generosity we witnessed in the life of Alice and try to touch one life in the way she touched so many. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ruth Houser; and son Rick Winship. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don Winship; brothers, Leonard Houser (Patty) and Raymond Houser (Maryann); brother-in-law, Jim Winship (Pat); sister-in-law, Jeanne Bruce (Chuck); son, David Winship (Glenna); daughter-in-law’s, Heather Winship and Deanna Eaton; grandchildren, Nicole Robison, husband Mark, Ashley Hinck husband, Jordan, Brandon Winship fiancé Melissa, Miles Winship & Trevor Winship, Connor Eaton; great grandchildren, David, Anara, & Caelyn Robison, Landon Hinck, Brecken Winship; countless Nieces, Nephews, and many lifelong friends.
