Shannon L. Thornburg

Shannon L. Thornburg, 50, of North Aurora, IL passed away Friday, January 6, 2017, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She was born September 1, 1966, in Leesburg, Florida the daughter of Edward Thornburg and Diane Greene Williams. Shannon enlisted in the United States Army where she served in the Operation Desert Storm. Following her honorable discharge, she completed her associates degree in Computer programing and analysis at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. Shannon most recently has been employed at Humana as an Application Consultant. Shannon had a love for all dogs and cats. She was actively involved with training with her Australian Shepherd’s Halo and River at Kanosak K-9 Training in Maple Park or at Fox Valley Dog Training Club in St. Charles. In Shannon’s spare time she enjoyed photography and she loved sharing this gift of photography with her many special pet loving friends. She is survived by her mother Diane (Bruce) Williams, her father Edward (Judy) Thornburg, a sister Ann Thornburg, an uncle Dedrick Greene; a niece Danielle Jones, a nephew Kyle Van DeMark; and her two dogs Halo and River and two cats Myah and Poo. A memorial service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
