Marguerite Schiappa Bassett, 103, of Tavares, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014. Born in Danbury, Connecticut, she moved to Tavares in 1975 from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She was a Secretary,was a member of the Widowed Persons of Lake County and Adventure Christian Church Tavares. Marguerite is survived by her niece, Wilsene Grout, East Dummerston, VT; nephew, Gary Schiappa, Huntington, CT; niece, Lois Schiappa, Sudbury, MA; nephew, David Schiappa; niece, Patricia Douglas. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Michaels Cemetery, Startford, CT.
