Louis Gene Abner

Louis Gene Abner, 80, of Sorrento, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017. Born in Pine Ridge, Kentucky, he moved to Central Florida in 1979 from Fairfield, Ohio. He was a member of the LifePointe Church (formerly First Baptist Church, Eustis) for 25 years. Lou enjoyed playing with his grandkids and great-grandkids, traveling, and woodworking. He is survived by his Wife, Gerri Abner (Geraldine Treadway) of Sorrento, FL; Son, John Abner of Eustis, FL; Daughter, Amy Krok of Sorrento, FL; Brother, Edward Abner of Kentucky; 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Services will be held at LifePointe Church (First Baptist Church), Eustis on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 7:00 PM. The family will receive friends prior to service from 6:00 PM till 7:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the UF Cancer Center at ORMC, or to the "His House, My Home" fund at LifePointe Church.
